Founded in 2021 by Croydon residents looking to make a difference, Croydon Community Energy is an apolitical Community Benefit Society, created to implement community-backed renewable energy generation, energy efficiency projects and education in the borough.
Croydon Community Energy was born from the idea that clean, renewable energy should be accessible for all. We have the below aims:Developing renewable energy and renewable heating projects Reducing the carbon footprint of the local area Promoting energy efficiency measures Involving people from the community in our projects Creating community ownership of renewable assets Supporting the local community’s progression to a low carbon economy Offering retrofit advice to the local community Offering climate action education to the local community
